About The Chase Golf Course at Coyote Springs:
The Chase, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design at PGA Golf Club is
a challenging 7,471 yard layout and is the first golf course in
a series of Jack Nicklaus designed courses that will flow throughout
the Coyote Springs community. The Chase is a par-72 layout with
11 lakes coming into play and many consider it to be one of Nicklaus’s
finest desert creations ever conceived.
The Chase’s lush rye-grass fairways, which do not require
an overseed, are set against a dramatic desert backdrop with mountain
vistas in every direction. Green complexes are fortified by deep,
white-sand bunkers and feature plenty of movement and plateaus that
are ripe for strategic pin placements. The pure golf experience
is enhanced by the club's mandatory forecaddie program, offering
each guest the information and tools necessary for the lowest and
most enjoyable round ever!
In addition to The Chase, a second course at PGA Golf Club is currently
under development. This course will be a collaboration between Jack
Nicklaus and another legendary architect, Pete Dye. The 2nd course
will be under construction by 2010.
The Chase at PGA Golf Club is part of the larger PGA Village Coyote
Springs. The PGA Village campus is slated to become the western
home for PGA members. This expansive facility, only the second of
its kind in the world, will offer golfers a unique destination and
provide one of the foremost learning and practice facilities in
the country.
The first phase of PGA Village construction is underway. Once completed,
PGA Village Coyote Springs will feature: PGA Golf Club Clubhouse
encompasing a 12,000 square-foot structure with restaurant and bar,
private locker rooms, PGA golf shop, meeting facility and event
courtyard. Practice Facility which is completed includes a 20-acre
practice facility featuring 100,000 square-feet of tee area, 13
target greens and laser measurement for greater accuracy.
Phase II Expansion
PGA Learning Center Tee Area: Synthetic and turf hitting area and
individual club demo bays.
Short Game Practice Area: Two manicured greens for chipping and
pitching, and one for flop shots and bunker play. PGA Exhibition
Amphitheater: Provides a setting for golf school programs and demonstrations.
The Chase Golf Club is 55 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. It
has full practice facilities available: A driving range, chipping
green, and putting green will allow you to fine tune your game before
challenging one of Jack's best designs. Without a restaurant and
bar, the course welcomes you to bring your own food and beverages
to the facility; so come prepared. They are currently giving away
complimentary sodas, Gatorade, and snacks to help quench your thirst
and tame your tummy. The greens are of moderate size and come with
tricky breaks due to the challenging & severe undulations. Enjoy
your day at the new and exciting The Chase at Coyote Springs!
